 2010/11 FAST Registration BBQ!
It is that time of year again... The annual FAST registration and BBQ will once again be held at the Gibson Ranch.
Who: All FAST members and potential members
What: 2010/11 Ski Season Registration
Where: Gibson Ranch
When: Saturday, September 18th (3-7:00 pm)
Schedule of events:
3:00 - Socializing, ziplining, canoeing, trampoline, etc
4:00 - Organized team games for all athletes
5:00 - Hot Dogs and Smores roasting
and of course registration will be ongoing during this period.
If you are interested in attending, or are unable to attend, but would still like to register your son or daughter for the 2010/11 ski season, please contact our registrar Nouha Spyker (nouha@skifast.ca)

Some exciting news for the FIS program!
FAST FIS and CARC FIS will begin a Co-op type program effective immediately for the 2011 season
FAST and the Calgary Alpine Racing Club (CARC) are proud to announce that through a joint partnership they will be offering a shared FIS team for the 2010-2011 race season. This joint effort will be immediately taking effect with dryland starting June 1, 2010. The team will be lead by Todd Haywood (CARC) with the assistance of Mike White (FAST). This coaching team will be supported by CARC Program Director Brett Zagozewski and FAST High Performance Director Stephanie OBrien as well as the two respective board of directors. This is an exciting relationship that will see the athletes train together in dryland, summer and fall camps as well as compete through the winter under the direction of Todd and Mike.
It will provide a better training environment for the athletes; 6 females and 7-10 very competitive males as well as a more effective use of resources. Steph will still have some involvement with the FIS program but to a lesser degree. The program will not feel very different as CARC and FAST have very similar philosophies, but what will change is the training environment provided. The athletes will have a larger pool of teammates to train and compete with on a daily basis.
